  1. I’ve written on this subject many, many times. It seems that writers are plagued with the 3 O’clock wake-up claw (or the cat’s meow), that one paragraph that just won’t allow you to sleep, or a variation thereof. Last night it was the 1am wake-up poem. Some days I think my brain has a brain of its own, a tiger-mom who constantly yells, “Get up! Get out of bed! That chapter isn’t going to write itself!” πŸ™‚

      1. I also have a pattern of sneaking out of bed to work on my books for 2-3 hours in the middle of the night. Perhaps it is my imagination, but when I’m the only one up and I’m relaxed, it seems like I get ten times more done than I do during ‘normal work hours’.
